Terms of use
The short version, then the long one.
This website shows you what TasteTwins is. It does not sell you anything, take your money, or create an account. Most of what follows exists because a demo full of invented restaurants should not be mistaken for a guide to real ones.
Who you are agreeing with
This website is operated by LOVE SALONE, L.L.C. (“Love Salone”, “we”, “us”). By using tastetwins.app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please don’t use the site — there is nothing here you need.
These terms cover the website and its demo. The TasteTwins iPhone app is separate and is governed by the terms presented inside it. Being able to use this site does not give you access to the app.
The demo is a demonstration
Read this one properly
Every person in the demo is invented. Every venue in the demo is invented. Every score, percentage and match rating is a simplified illustration written to show how the interface behaves — not the app’s production recommendation engine, not a measured probability, and not a research result.
Do not rely on anything in the demo to choose where to eat, what to eat, or who to eat with.
The demo runs entirely in your browser and holds its state in memory. It does not create accounts, send messages or invitations, reserve tables, contact any venue, or write to any database. Reloading discards it.
The dish images in the demo are illustrations from the app’s asset library. They are not photographs of food served at any named venue, and should not be read as depicting one.
Food, allergens and health
TasteTwins is a discovery product, not a health product. Nothing on this site or in the app is medical, nutritional, dietary or clinical advice, and none of it is a substitute for a qualified professional.
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, confirm ingredients directly with the venue before eating. Dietary filters in the app are a convenience built from data that can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong — menus change, kitchens substitute ingredients, and cross-contamination does not appear in a data feed. Treat any filter as a starting point and never as an assurance of safety.
Venue details — hours, location, menus, prices, whether a place is still open — come from third-party sources and our own catalogue, and can be inaccurate. Check before you travel.
What you may and may not do here
You may read, use and share this site freely, link to it, quote it with attribution, and show the demo to other people. You do not need our permission for any of that.
Please do not:
- Scrape, mirror or bulk-download the site, or run automated traffic against it beyond ordinary crawling.
- Probe, scan or attempt to bypass its security, or try to reach anything that is not published here.
- Present the demo’s invented venues, people or scores as real, or as our assessment of any real business or person.
- Use our name, wordmark or app icon in a way that suggests we endorse, sponsor or are affiliated with you when we are not.
- Use the site to break the law or to harm someone.
Found a security problem? Email hello@tastetwins.app with the subject “Security”. Report it to us before disclosing it publicly and we will work with you in good faith. We will not pursue legal action against anyone who investigates in good faith, stays within the published site, and does not access, alter or exfiltrate data belonging to anyone else.
What belongs to whom
The TasteTwins name, wordmark, app icon, interface design, written content, screenshots and demo code are owned by LOVE SALONE, L.L.C. and protected by copyright and trademark law. Journalists and researchers writing about the company may use the assets on the press page under the conditions set out there.
If you send us feedback, an idea or a suggestion, we may act on it without owing you compensation or confidentiality. This is not a claim on anything you own — it just means an unsolicited good idea does not create an obligation. If you want a confidential conversation, say so first and we will arrange one properly.
Availability, and the absence of a promise
The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, error-free or accurate.
We may change, move or remove any part of the site — including the demo — at any time, without notice. There is no service commitment here because this is a presentation website, not a service you are relying on.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Love Salone is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising from your use of this site, and our total liability for any claim relating to it will not exceed one hundred United States dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where that is so, they apply only as far as permitted, and nothing here limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Early access
Sending us an early-access message expresses interest. It is not an agreement, and it does not entitle you to a place in the test. Invitations go out in small batches, in an order we decide, and we may never reach everyone who asks. We will not add you to a marketing list — see the privacy policy for what happens to your message.
Third parties
Where this site links elsewhere, we are not responsible for what is there. Hosting is provided by Vercel Inc., whose terms and privacy policy govern its own handling of request data.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date at the top will change when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revision. If a change is material we will make it visible rather than silent.
Governing law
The governing law and venue for these terms are set by the state in which LOVE SALONE, L.L.C. is registered. That clause is deliberately not stated here until it has been confirmed against the company’s formation documents, rather than asserted and later corrected. Until then, nothing in this section waives any right you have under the law of the place you live.
